I don't even know what to say about the war. I'm not even going to call it a 'war' anymore, because it's an attack. I know Saddam Hussein is a terrible monster of a person, and I want him out of power and either in exile or dead. But this? Bombing innocent people and killing children? Aren't those the very things that George Bush claims to be fighting against with this attack? I think I've come to accept that every politician is a liar and a hypocrite. I like to think that there's some degree of goodness in everyone, but to kill innocent people all for oil and money and personal revenge, and furthermore to sacrifice innocent civilians for those goals? Bush and Hussein are both monsters.
Kill Saddam Hussein, fine. I know he deserves it. Every innocent person killed, though, every one is a victim of the murderer George W. Bush. The terrorist George W. Bush.
I'm watching a Parliament meeting on CBC right now, and it's incredibly frustrating to see members of the Right-Wing Alliance heckling members of the Liberal party every time they speak. Yet the Liberals are staying silent and respectful for the most part when the Alliance members speak.
Yet I have other things on my mind, even with all this going on in the world. I feel selfish.
